As cars continue to become safer each year, Melexis continues to develop the systems which make this possible. We specialize in both sensor and control ICs which function as the vehicle's "nervous system" and are designed to sense-and-react, just as an actual nervous system does.
Our sensors are designed to sense many things, such as seat occupant detection, wheel speed, steering torque and position, tire pressure, change in velocity (crash), images- just to name a few.
Our control ICs are specifically designed to interface with our sensor ICs. Unlike mass produced microcontrollers, our microcontrollers are designed from the ground up to be at home in a harsh automotive environment. |
